The Golden Guernsey is a small goat with only a moderate milk yield that is often enough for a family. It’s appetite is not huge
They are very adaptable, affectionate and docile and easy to manage, though occasionally will decide to go their way rather than ours. They tend to be very patient and many of our friends have been taught to milk by them.
We have bred Goldens for over twenty years and have really enjoyed their company. Now we have only one nanny left They integrate well with the other stock. At present she has two Pygmy goats for company
The Golden Guernsey just managed to survive the war helped by Miss Milbourne who built up her herd after the war.
